Retreat open to people of all skills and career levels of songwriting.

Get back to nature and hone in on your songwriting skills by attending a three day songwriter retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia and unleash your inner creative genius working with three award winning songwriters mentor/coaches, Tret Fure, Karen E Reynolds, and Vicki Blankenship. Retreat includes workshops, critiques, valuable music business knowledge, private sessions with instructors, networking and co-writing opportunities with other retreat attendees and an opportunity to perform 3 songs after the retreat on the weekend at the Fall Kick Off Music in the Mountains Festival which takes place following the retreat on September 23 & 24. It all adds up to five days of inspiration, relaxation, creativity, and networking with a performance opportunity at the end. It does not matter what level you are in your songwriting career or interests to take part in this retreat. Enjoy a nightly social community bonfire with song sharing or solitude time writing.

Jonica Gap Campground is a 20 acre piece of property that is beautifully landscaped and maintained with 75% of the property covered in forestry and a stream running through the campground that feeds two stocked trout ponds. No RVs allowed. Only Tents and Popup campers allowed keeping this a true back to nature experience. Facility has a top quality shower house, camp store, walking trails, horseshoes, and badminton along with community charcoal grills available in the picnic area. If you travel with an RV there are campgrounds close by that accommodate those needs. Hotels are within 10 minutes of the campground if you do not want to stay at the campground facility.

Because we know not everyone will want to camp on site we have created different package rates to accommodate those that want to camp on site and those that prefer staying off property and attending all sessions during the day. Only 25 retreat tickets will be sold to allow one on one mentoring and consultation time and stage time at the festival following the retreat. Retreat attendees staying on property will pitch camp in a community area closer to the picnic and stage area so we can have privacy from other people who might be camping at the facility and to allow extra camping sites for the weekend festival pass holders.
